If you're in San Francisco this coming Sunday, I'll be singing in a 1,000-voice gospel choir as part of the closing ceremonies of the United Nations' World Environment Day. Rev. Edwin Hawkins composed a special anthem for this and is conducting the choir. The two rehearsals I've attended have been excellent. You might remember Hawkins' breakout gospel hit, Oh Happy Day, from the 1969.
