Karma conserved. I was just thinking about how tragic it was that KRON-4 was running an infomercial during the World Environment Day
closing ceremony (granted, only about 200 choir members showed up, not 1,000), when six days later KRON hosted a blogger meet-up, where I got to tell one of the station's consultants how blogging and podcasting offer a way for the station to correct this defect through widening the scope of the station's coverage.

A personal note: I've been involved with KRON every other decade for a while. In the 1960s, I was on
Mayor Art when I was seven; in the 1980s, I was on the top of the five o'clock news for a few minutes being interviewed about the
IBM PCjr; and now the blogger meetup, which wasn't actually telecast, but for the first time, I got to sit in the anchor's chair, and that was worth it.
In this picture, I'm just to the left of the anchor desk. Although I run other blogs, I was proud to register Urbification first with KRON's forthcoming Bay Area blog directory, since Urbification is the blog most applicable to where I've lived most of my life. (Thanks to fellow SJSUer
Steve Sloan for the photo.)
